My book and I… (Author Dawn Torrens)
My own life story reads like a novel and that is why I have choosen to write about it, for Lilliah, my princess, so that she better understands her mother and her life. I hope you all enjoy my daily blogs they will be filled with the positive’s and negative’s of
writing your first novel with a toddler in tow – not easy by anyone’s standards, especially as she is not a great fan of sleeping. There will be words of wisdom and plenty of humour!
A literary site for MEN and WOMEN! Connecting authors, reviewers, bloggers, and readers, in one supportive community. I always loved to write, and as a kid, I dreamed of becoming a writer. I finished my first novel at the age of 9 and authored more stories for many years after that, including two movie scripts when I was 17. I took a break from writing when I started law school in 2000, and really thought I was done with it, because “writing does not pay the bills”, my dad used to say. But life made me go back to it ten years later.”The Manicheans” was born from the pain I experienced throughout my marriage and my impending divorce. <–more–>
