Emerald Barnes and a Kindle Fire

On January 30, 2012, in Events, by rsguthrie

Yep, dear readers, there was an official drawing late Sunday evening and a winner was determined for the new Kindle Fire I am giving away. I know, the tension is kind of blown since I put the winner’s name in the post’s title but I wanted to place Em’s name up in lights…after all SHE JUST WON A KINDLE FIRE!!

I want to thank everyone who participated. Those of you who read my latest book would have seen my dedication, but I figured I would share it here because it’s germane to this “thank you” and it is also exactly how I feel, put into a short book dedication:

For my readers.
To authors, you are the lifeblood;
we admire no one more.

I am so happy for Emerald! I purchased my own Fire recently and I LOVE it. Perfect size, great resolution, fantastic apps…I love reading a book then, during a pause, grabbing my email, checking Twitter, perusing Facebook, and back to the book! For the price I have to say, it gives my iPad a pretty solid beat-down. Just sayin’.

    I am so excited, Rob! Thank you. I honestly never thought I’d win. I was just supporting my good friend who had released his new book! Either way, I can’t thank you enough! <3
